Music Find: Nuttin’ but Stringz – A cool ass class act

I’ve been wanting to get the Nuttin’ But Stringz album (”Struggle from the Subway to the Charts”) after seeing them on Jack’s Big Music Show last year. They are amazing. The group is a duo – two brothers from Queens, NY who are classically trained (read Julliard) musicians who blend magical classical sounds with hip-hop, r&b and jazz. It is simply wonderful. They are fantastic violinists and the tunes are beautiful, sexy and fun.

From Wikipedia: “Nuttin’ But Stringz, also known as N.B.S., consists of two brothers, Damien (18) and Tourie Escobar (20). The talented young musicians from Jamaica, Queens play an intense blend of Classical Music, Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop.”

Anyway – I finally got around to downloading the album and LOVE it. Check it out.

I can’t wait to maybe see them live one day. They are so much fun to watch.
