Visit with Chris & Barry

When I posted my brief update the other day, I neglected to mention my dear friend Chris stopping by for a visit on the 27th. He and his boyfriend Barry came to WV for a short visit and it was wonderful to see them. We had dinner at our place and Amber and Amelia came over too. Kira and Amelia had a great time from what I could tell doing 2-year-old stuff and Steve whipped up a great meal for us to enjoy outside on our patio. Chris lives way far away in Seattle, so it is always great to get to visit with him. The nice thing is, I never feel like the distance really changes anything. It was also wonderful to finally meet Barry. He’s so nice. I hope he had a good time, too. I think this was his first visit to WV. People who have never been here always have lots of preconceived notions about our state…some true, most not. Anyway…it was a good visit, even though it was short. Hopefully we’ll get to come out to Seattle sometime not too far away.
