So faithful readers, I have not posted much since the baby was born. Many apologies. It has been easier to post to Kira’s blog since that is maily just pictures, but those take time to upload…ah well.
So, one of my Christmas gifts was a DVD of one of my favorite movies, “Wings of Desire.” This a german film that came out in 1988 and directed by Wim Wenders. It is a slow, but beautiful movie about that tells the story of angels and the city of Berlin. It isn’t a film for everyone – mostly due to its pace, but I still highly recommend it.
This present inspired me to go ahead and start my movie column. I don’t know how often I will get to post, but I reposted an essay there that I wrote a few years ago for a film class on New German Cinema taught by the late beloved Dr. Jurgen Schlunk at WVU.
